Why am I trying to start writing TIL
During the whole summer vacation, I was asking myself the whole time. How can I be more productive. I tried lots of methods to be more productive. I’ve attended the Summer semester to go to school daily and study. This turned out to be a bad idea. Like a regular semester, I just studied one or two days before the test. Even though I went to school daily. Rather than attending the class, I usually played some mini-games in the back of the class.
After the summer semester ended, I started a study with my schoolmate. But, the study was not conducted properly due to the lack of compulsion. So, I’ve reorganized the study to have more compulsion. But, still, there was no significant difference. From my perspective, I could find two major reasons why study was not conducted properly. The biggest reason was that I was not motivated at all. I just tried to start something up thinking that will somehow miraculously motivate me. Second, I was not thinking enough about what I wish to do in the future.
I thought I had to change to solve these problems. So I looked back on the time when I was motivated the most. From there I could find the answer. I was usually not that motivated by most situations. Other friends from school I could see them getting motivation from lots of circumstances. Some liked to make stuff and some liked to see the product online getting used by others. But I wasn’t motivated by those reasons. The key to my motivation was habit. And to make a habit the best way was to do something productive every day with other people. And that’s why I choose to start writing TIL this semester.
Why React
Since I decided to start writing TIL I wanted to start some side projects that could help me find out what I like and what I am good at. Since I don’t know how to make a website and I did a small side project during summer vacation and had trouble with the lack of front-end engineers So I decided to start studying React.
I decided to use Udemy to learn about React. I just started to learn why React is used and what is better than normal JS. I hope after couple months I’ll be able to make my own website.
